Lying between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, the Malepère area was granted its letters patent in late 2006 with an AOP classification, in recognition of a wine-producing area and of the labour of the producers who, for decades, had been working to raise its status.

The power of the Atlantic and the charm of the Mediterranean, an alliance of suppleness and strength, form the distinctive character of these wines from the area known as “the other Languedoc”.

Thanks to its distinct climate and the range of different soils, the Malepère area makes a welcoming home for various grape varieties. Grenache flirts with merlot, cinsault pays court to cabernet franc, while malbec flatters cabernet sauvignon.

A land to discover, producers to encounter, wines to enjoy.
