  • Benedictine abbey with a superb chevet fleuron of the first southern Romanesque art. The early Carolingian church was partially demolished and replaced by the current building, which was built from the 11th to the 14th century. We discover the remains of the first abbey in the crypt, the single nave and its vault eighteenth century, a remarkable marble decor in the sanctuary and the apsidioles. The choir of the monks contains a reliquary containing the relics of the "Holy Martyrs of Caunes" honored since the Xth century. Thanks to the restoration work, you can admire the pebble pavement of the old medieval cloister. One can also visit the permanent and temporary exhibitions in the conventual buildings. In addition to a visit, an unprecedented experience: the Abbey filmed in 360 ° with a virtual reality helmet! The film of ten minutes transports you in the History of the Abbey through unpublished points of view ... Advantage (s) Carca 'Pass: - 1.00 € on full adult fare
