  • Located on the right bank of the Aude, the Medieval City of Carcassonne classified as World Heritage by UNESCO is a medieval ensemble unique in Europe by its size and its state of conservation. Its history is marked by 2000 years of conquests and by the imprint of Catharism and the Crusades. Accessible day and night, through the Narbonne gate and the Aude gate, a large part of the City can be visited freely.
