CONTRECHAMPS (OFF) -OCCITANIE TERRE D'AUDE
Cultural , Cinema , Festival , Show at Carcassonne
- JK Raymond Millet's film This 1937 documentary shows the towns, countryside and shores of Aude. The director of photography is the young René Clément, then 24 years old. He has not yet realized his big films that are The battle of the rail, prohibited Games, Full sun or Paris burns? but his artistic leg is already there. This road movie before the hour gives us the images and moods of a vanished world. There is a vertigo of incredulity to see the aerial catch of the city of Carcassonne, the life of the fishermen of the pond of Bages, the children invade the streets of Narbonne, or still emerge the still medieval silhouette of the villages of Corbières .
