  • From June 22 to November 9, the Maison des Memoires de l'Aude invites you to discover an exhibition dedicated to Joan Jordà. The work of Joan Jordà, painter and sculptor, is a poignant testimony of the fact that art draws its strength in the tearing. Artist born in San Feliu de Guixols in 1929, he emigrated in January 1939 with thousands of Spanish Republicans. In Toulouse where he lives, he embarks on the pictorial adventure as a self-taught artist. Dotted with meetings with writers, this adventure continues today. Come and see the opening of the exhibition on Saturday, June 22nd. On the program: 15h: inauguration of the exhibition Joan Jordà, a libertarian painter from 1936 to today 16h: reading-meeting with Lydie Salvayre and Bernard Wallet Lydie Salvayre and Bernard Wallet will read excerpts from their books and a selection of writings of Joë Bousquet. 18h: recital "The Duende" of Lorca with Pedro Soler and Dominique Delpirou Free admission.
