From September 4 to 30, come and discover an exhibition of painting by Michel Joulé in an unusual historic place: The cistern located at the entrance to the Medieval City of Carcassonne. Painter and graphic designer, Michel Joule is a former student of the École Estienne, Paris (Graphic Arts and Industries) and of the ENSET, Cachan. He taught Graphic Art at ESAAT in Roubaix, Nord. He has exhibited since 1978 in Lille, Dunkirk, Arras, Aix-en-Provence, Pau, Toulouse, Paris, in Spain. In an abstract register, his works can be viewed as fabrics, landscapes. Michel Joulé's gesture is unique each time, without repetition or repentance, as do Asian calligraphers. The series of studies are all the more eloquent. Michel Joulé wanted to offer the Musée des Beaux Arts in Carcassonne a series of works, the first of which will be displayed in 2020. An exhibition at La Citerne would broaden the public's vision of his work and strengthen the links between the medieval town and the Bastide Saint-Louis. Free entry.
