Puppet / Shadow theater 3 years Duration: 40 min Pour Bien Dormir offers an intense and suggestive universe, evocative of the world of night and shadows. When the light goes out in the evening, in the children's room, everything comes alive. As in a dream, the characters who inhabit our imagination come to life. The story here unfolds in a fun and poetic game to question these ancestral fears. How to face the fears of the night, the shadows, the chiaroscuro and these ambiguous characters, straight out of fairy tales? Conceived as a visual story, the piece offers us a plunge into the poetry of the encounter with these fantastic, endearing and cruel beings, so close to our fears, our temptations, and our desires. During a tour in the Netherlands, Paulo Duarte discovers in a bookstore the album De staart van meneer Kat (The Tail of Monsieur Kat) by Tjalling Houkema, Dutch designer. This graphic album for children, intended for his son, makes his desire for a creation mature at home and from this artistic collaboration arises the desire to build a common project.
