  • Pierre Venissac, born at the beginning of this century into a family with a musical tradition, began studying the piano at the age of 7 at the Toulouse Conservatory. He has just returned to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris and is also following the percussion, writing, chamber music and accompaniment classes. He presents a program that highlights the particular qualities of his game "rhythmic and committed, while leaving room for imagination and poetry". Olivier Bellamy in his piano-loving dictionary says about Scarlatti's sonatas "if only one K466 should be kept, wonder of wonders". In 1803 Beethoven received a brand new piano from Erard. The instrument allows him to compose a sonata with unknown and extreme registers which he will dedicate to his friend and protector Count Waldstein. "I tried to make some of my strongest feelings, of my most vivid perceptions into music": thus by the Liszt of the Years of Pilgrimage from which the Obermann Valley is extracted. The piano solo version of the famous Rhapsody in blue completes this program with virtuosity.
